Encore: JetBlue's All-You-Can-Jet passes sell out again

JetBlue has again sold out of its "All-You-Can-Jet" unlimited travel passes, duplicating the success the carrier has with the promotion that it first rolled out in 2009.The Associated Press notes "last year, the first year the pass was offered, they sold two days early. There are two price tiers: an unlimited pass for $699 or a $499 pass that excludes travel on Fridays and Sundays. The pass was $599 last year with no date restrictions."
USA TODAY's Laura Bly writes "JetBlue wouldn't disclose how many passes were sold, but said they sold 15% more passes this year than last."
JetBlue's inaugural unlimited travel pass promotion was unveiled via Twitter around this time in 2009. That promotion was successful for the airline, helping the carrier fill seats during a period of traditionally weak demand for air travel. But the promotion also created substantial buzz for the New York-based airline, keeping JetBlue's name in the national media for weeks.
